Since the resort’s early days, he has watched the mountain evolve, season after season, without ever losing sight of what truly matters: people, a job well done, and respect for this land.

Today, Marcel is officially retired.

But in reality, he’s never quite retired.

During peak periods, when the resort comes alive and the pace picks up, he naturally comes back to lend a hand. Not out of obligation. Out of desire. Out of attachment. Because here, everything is part of his story.

His presence is invaluable.

A glance, a piece of advice, a word exchanged with a guest or a team member… Marcel passes on his wisdom without even realizing it. A way of being, an experience, a reassuring calm.

He embodies an authentic mountain—one that can’t be explained, but must be experienced.

And it is also thanks to him that the spirit of Collet d’Allevard continues to span generations. ❤️
